Medical Update: Thursday 25th April 2013
After finally getting my ultrasound scan today i found out exactly what is going on and why i am in a mess. the ultra sound showed good news that i don’t have any problems with my kidneys or gall bladder and have a bit of fat on my liver but that is down to diet. It also showed that i have hard air pockets roaming around my internal organs and that is what is causing so much pain all the time. the air pockets are pushing on the internal organs causing all sorts of problems and this wind is from the irritated bowl.
Thankfully i am still able to go on my holiday but i have to be careful as i now have a hernia above the right testicle so no more lifting heavy weights and also wear a strap to support the hernia and stop the pain. Luckily its not a strangulated hernia so i wont have to have an operation unless i make it worst or it becomes strangulated at a later date. for the time being i am able to manage the pain with pain killers and sort out the IBS with medication and just have to give it all time to work so i will be sore for a little while.
i am still constipated so have to use medication in order to ease the aches and help me go to the toilet. Luckily i had a good clear out with the drinks the doctor gave me so i shouldn't be in trouble as long as i keep taking the medication and watch my diet. this has been a real eye opener with regards to the meals i have and the food that i eat. i will now have to start watching what i do and what i eat and make sure i eat plenty of the right kind of food.
I am now all packed and ready for our holiday down in Cornwall. i have my appointment at 8am with the dentist to take out the bad tooth that remains in my mouth and hopefully that should be the end of that problem especially when they are finally all out and i am able to get dentures. I have checked the forecast for the coming week and it looks like we chose the right time of year to go as we are in for a week of sun and more sun, i just cant wait!
